The London List

The short list. The things we'd buy again without thinking.

    Parker Baby Co.
    Classics Swaddle Set
    $20.00

Two swaddles for twenty dollars, and one of them will still be in the car a year from now working as a shade, a burp cloth or a picnic blanket.

  2. So Much Love Zipper Footie — Sweet Bamboo
    Sweet Bamboo
    So Much Love Zipper Footie
    $39.00

One zip, top to bottom. At three in the morning you will not want to go looking for a second garment.

  3. Baby Shusher Sound Machine – Real Human Shushing Sound for Newborn Sleep & Soothing — Shusher
    Shusher
Baby Shusher Sound Machine – Real Human Shushing Sound for Newborn Sleep & Soothing
    From $34.99

The least decorative thing we sell, and it is on this list anyway. It shushes, in a real human voice, and that is the entire product.

  4. Birch Knotted Bow Baby Shoe — Freshly Picked
    Freshly Picked
    Birch Knotted Bow Baby Shoe
    From $25.00
    Sold out

Soft-soled, so a foot still learning the job can feel the floor through them. The bow is why people stop you in the street.

  5. Mini Mat — ezpz

    Mini Mat
    $22.49

Mat and plate in one piece, suctioned to the table. It does not end the mess, but it does end the throwing.

The standards

It has to look like something you'd leave out on a shelf, not hide in a drawer. It should be made well enough for the washing, wearing, and everyday use the little years bring. It should earn its place — through everyday usefulness, a moment made easier, or a memory worth keeping. Soft where it matters, comfortable in real life, and made with materials we'd feel good choosing for the little years. It has to be something you'd be pleased to hand over, and pleased to receive. We want to know who's behind what we carry — real makers and brands whose products, practices, and reputation we can stand behind.

Named for our son, London.
